Refiriéndose a los cambios que experimenta la difusión del arte hacia la comunidad, una persona del público que asiste a la plática sobre prácticas curatoriales pregunta: "¿cómo será eso para nosotros?".

Yo me pregunto: ¿quiénes son “nosotros”? (dada la versatilidad de la audiencia, la variedad de temas que han hablado, la cantidad de categorías en las que podría catalogarse al interrogador, y sin mencionar que ‘nosotros’ puede incluir o no a los disertantes).

Ante mi sorpresa, parece que ninguno de los 3 expositores necesita que le expliquen a qué se refiere esta persona con “nosotros”. Cada uno contesta desde un lugar distinto:

Uno responde como “latino”.

El otro responde como “inmigrante”.

El último responde como “curador”.

Y el que hizo la pregunta se da por satisfecho.

Referring to the changes that undergoes the diffusion of art to the community, a person of the audience that is attending the talk about curatorial practices asks: ‘how will that be for us?’ .

I wonder: who are ‘us’? (in view of the audience versatility, the variety of the topics that were spoken, the quantity of categories in which the questioner would be labeled, and without mentioning that ‘us’ can include or not the speakers).

To my surprise, it seems that no one of the 3 speakers needs an explanation of what does this person mean with ‘us’. Each one answers from a different position:

One answers as a ‘latino’.

The other one answers as an ‘immigrant’.

The last one answers as a ‘curator’.

And the one that asked the question is satisfied.
