Hace 30 años (y más) llevar pieles alrededor del cuello era un símbolo de status (y glamour). Con el correr de los tiempos, la conciencia ecológica y la labor de Greenpeace, esto pasó a ser ‘mal visto’. Ahora está de moda viajar muy lejos para adoptar niños huérfanos (preferentemente de una raza distinta a la de los padres) y luego salir fotografiado en las revistas con los niños colgando del cuello (de la misma forma que antes se usaban las pieles).

Thirty years ago (and more) it was a symbol of status (and glamour) to wear furs around the neck. Lately, with the ecological conscience and Greenpeace work, this became to be ‘frowned upon’. Now there’s a growing trend towards travelling very far to adopt orphan children (it’s better if the race between them and their parents is different) and then being photographed by a magazine with children hanging on their necks (the same way that they wore furs before).
