A las 3 de la tarde por Las Vegas Blvd, la oferta de prostitución es significativa. Mientras los niños caminan con sus padres como si estuvieran en Disney World, un camión pasa tirando de un cartel gigante que dice “chicas en tu cuarto en 20 minutos”, y un contingente de latinos y gente de color intentan entregar material publicitario a la población masculina adulta. Yo me negaba a recibir el material, no porque esté en desacuerdo con su negocio o porque no lo valore (es realmente buena calidad de impresión, hasta coleccionable, diría) sino porque es imposible cargar tanto papel.

En la imagen se ve todo lo que me dieron en tan sólo una esquina (y hay que tener en cuenta que esta gente no se pone sólo en una esquina: se pone en las cuatro esquinas, a mitad de cuadra, y cada 5 metros).

At 3 PM on Las Vegas Blvd, prostitution offering is significant. While kids walk with their parents as if they were in Disney World, a track passes by pulling a giant billboard which says “chicks to your room in 20 minutes”, and a contingent of latinos and colored people try to hand publicity material to the male adult population. I refused to receive this material, not because I disagree with their business or I don’t appreciate it (it’s really good quality printing, even collectable, I would say) but because it is impossible to carry so much paper.

In the image, you can see all I was given in just one corner (take into account that these people don’t stand just in one corner: they stand in all four corners, in the middle of the block, and every 15 feet).
