At our host’s house, my friend was startled every time he came across the sculpture of this altar-boy.

He decided to cover his head in orther to make it look less human, less real.

Our host said: ‘incredible how with a cloth you changed his religion’.

Other noted: ‘now, more than a box of charity, it looks like an explosives box’.

Plaza Mayor, Madrid, octubre 2011

Just thinking of what ‘Hello Kitty’ will do in her honey moon, a 37% of my childhood falls apart.

Madrid, October 2011

When I saw the mountain of fried potatoes in the window I got very excited. I thought of it as a ride of Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom. But when I took the picture and discovered the layer of fat on the glass, I thought more of the room where the engine of the rollercoaster is hidden.

SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW

BLUEBIRDS FLY

WHY THEN, OH WHY CAN’T I?

If this is not solid poetry, what is?

Hare Krisna Cultural Center

Schedule

Monday-Saturday 2:45 PM

Sunday Vegetarian Party 6:30 PM

What amazes me is not:

- the punctuality in the time for opening: 2:45 PM,

- nor the fact that they don’t have a time for closure

- nor the possibility of having a different kind of menu for the Sunday party

but that the time is SO FIXED that they have decided to print it on a bronze plate.

Mark with a cross what bothers you the most of this window shop:

 The giant fan

 The oil painting at crotch-height

 The clothes on hangers

 To discover that what seems columns on left and right are 2 fitting rooms visible from the outside

***

When they say that football-soccer is a sport introduced by the English, I look at the street lights in Royal Square in Spain and think: “well, we should see who they got the inspiration from…”

He aquí la solución.

Plaza central de Chulilla, España, noviembre 2011

Here is the solution.

Although it doesn’t seem to be for many (or for no one) this is Manzanares river in Madrid. I can’t believe dipping my feet inside haven’t been recommended.

A good alternative for reducing car accidents produced by DUI: give the road the natural sinuosity that the drunkard has after the party (and stop a little with turndown of the alcoholimeter).

I have to confess that, in spite of how economical the prices were, I had an uncomfortable feeling towards buying food at this Chinese convenience store (“rong fu” read in Spanish sounds like “wrong food”).
